    About Boomerdog

Boomerdog produces unique, affordable, functional, whimsical, stylish, and accessible gifts. The company is dedicated to a simple idea. Life should be fun. Boomerdog's gifts use color, form and sense of humor to help you relax and enjoy your home and office.

Boomerdog's founder, Cecil Widdifield, learned the importance of the fun lesson from the company's founding inspiration - an 80 pound black Labrador Retriever named, appropriately enough, Boomer. Boomer the dog's goofy good looks, humorous demeanor and devoted temperament embody the company's spirit and desire. Boomerdog understands life should be fun.

Boomer the dog and CecilLike Boomer, the Labrador retriever, Cecil the founder, likes to think he has goofy good looks and a humorous demeanor. Cecil's background is full of the usual suspects, with an MBA from UCLA, a stint washing lettuce and creating a catering business, 7 (count them) seven years as the Director of Retail and Wholesale Operations for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and positions with Boom Design and Raintree Collection. Somewhere between the lettuce, the museum and the rain, Cecil saw the need for a new company.

No, Cecil didn't think the specialty gift world he loves was going to the dogs, but he did see a need for more fun, color and creativity. Cecil kibitzed with Boomer the dog, his many helpful neighbors and loving wife and decided that what the world needs now is a little funky fun from a company called Boomerdog.
